The Denver Regional Council of Governments met rigorous criteria to qualify as a great employer for experienced workers.

The Age-Friendly Institute recently recognized DRCOG as a Certified Age-Friendly Employer for its commitment to creating a workplace where employees of all ages can thrive.

"The recognition reflects our commitment to an inclusive workplace where every employee's experience and perspective matter," said Randy Arnold, DRCOG human resources director.

The institute uses several criteria to evaluate organizations, including recruitment, company culture, training, compensation, and medical and retirement benefits. The Age-Friendly Institute has recertified DRCOG as an age-friendly employer every two years since its initial recognition in 2022. 

The Certified Age-Friendly Employer program is administered by the Age-Friendly Institute, a part of the 55/Redefined, an organization that helps employers build age-inclusive workplaces.
